1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Roundtail
Hello, I am selling this 1969 Alfa Romeo Roundtail for Umberto Toscano in Louisville, Colorado.
Color: Red, Interior: Black vinyl, Top: Black Canvas, Engine 1750 with Spica.
AR1480027
Clear Colorado Title Odometer shows 38,650, I suspect that is 138,650.
Asking price: $9,000
Currently the Alfa Romeo boattail is a good driver, needs a paint update, new top (or redye), needs new vinyl or leather interior and various cosmetic items to be an excellent driver.
I am the previous owner and if I had room in my garage I would buy it back but I do not.
I found this Alfa Romeo while it was located in Honolulu, Hawaii in May 2006. It was advertised as a good driver, so I purchased and shipped it back to San Diego and then transported the Alfa Spider from San Diego to Louisville, Colorado in July 2006. Upon pickup I found the car ran fine, it was nice but not perfect with a weak braking system. When I got the Alfa Romeo home I found that the brake system needed rebuilding in total. So all parts were sourced and the master cylinder was sent to Jim N. for rebuild.
As some things go the Alfa Spider sat until I needed garage space for a new venture, so the Alfa Spider went into storage until the fall of 2008. As things go with us older folks, I decided I did not want to put the Spider back together.
Umberto and I came to a nice arrangement and he put the boattail back together.
Currently the brake system is all new boosters, rebuilt master cylinder, new hard lines, and braided lines to the calipers, new brake switches, etc.
Some small cosmetic items are included with the Alfa Spider.
All lights on the Alfa Romeo work, gauges work, fuel gauge a bit dodgy, brake lights need debugging.
Umberto is selling as he has run out of room for his collectors, so the Spider has to go.
