As a huge Rahal fan, I was excited to read the following on espn.com

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Watkins Glen International will host a vintage racing series event next year billed as Bobby Rahal's Legends of Motorsports.

Rahal, a partner in promoter Historic Motorsports Productions, says his group will invite a full complement of vintage racing cars and teams to The Glen next June.

Hi All - just learned that both the Kumho Ecsta V710 and the Toyo Proxies RA1 have been discontinued. Anyone have a line on obtaining these tires in a 205/60/13?

It was brought to my attention that we have car/cars running E85 now.....Fantastic!!!!!!!!!! Hope we have enough in the budget to buy enough new exstiguishers that have foaming agent in them. Alchohol based fuels / fires are a whole different game folks. PEAK

OK, ladies are also invited. I plan on setting the HPR Commemorative Bricks at the track this coming weekend. There's an MRA motorcycle event going on, but that won't interfere with the project and might be fun to watch how the two-wheelers do it.

The bricks are on site, the soil scrapped where they'll be placed (near the T&S & "Bronco" buildings), and the sand (about a yard) is delivered. I'll be supplying all the tools a materials needed....

Hi friends, one of my coworkers has a Cobra Kit in her sights.
I'm looking for someone to help her decide on the build quality
and safety of the build up itself. 302 & 5speed. Car is in Northeren Colorado
now shows 4K on the odo. She will gladly pay for this inspection service.
Person should have good general automotive knowledge (leaves me out!),
& sound mechanical skills/theory (ummm ditto) and perhaps some good racing fabrication background
...

Hewland Adapter??

Let's see, built a new motor, re-cased the Hewland, bought a Hewland adapter and loaded the assembled mess into the car today. The starter holes in the new adapter are clocked just differently enough that the starter won't clear the shift linkage. Tilton won't fit, and I'm not gonna use a Lucas. What I need is a correct Hewland adapter and I need it quickly. Anyone got one?
