I would like to thank everyone who worked on The Pikes Peak Hill Climb event.
First off, Mike Rogers, for doing all promotional and marketing stuff. Jess Neil, for taking on the Vintage Festival. These first two mentioned filled in any and all cracks that needed to be filled. Believe me there were plenty.
Ralph Veit for helping with planning of the car/motorcycle show and making many trips down to Manitou and securing Memorial...

Unsportsmanlike conduct at HPR

I would like to appologize to the membership and spectators that attended the HPR race in May for my conduct in the pits
after the first group one race on Sunday.
I confronted another driver in the pit about a pass I felt was questionable and my comments and conduct in general was
inappropriate.
I hope everyone involved will accept my sincere apology.

Howdy, a friend is bringing his 15.5 year old daughter with him to
the track this Saturday. If I supply the helmet could someone give her a lap
duing the lunchbreak? It's the first time for them both at the vintage races (ever!)
& would really make the day. I'm told she's quite a car junkie, and this would force
her to have kittens on the spot.

To the majority who were warm @ home, tending to the snow shovel and the fireplace ....
Just have to say what a great job Lynn did this year, he wasn't left much time to work with!
Most of Friday track-time was reduced to street car driving, Saturday was a wind blown washout on track.
Somehow what was left of the weekend ,the various Chiefs managed to 'sew a silk purse out...

I have a beer for the best picture of our car taken Sunday. Added credit will be for a picture taken of the car on the track or on the hook. A beer for every unique picture (not 24 duplicates) and a six pack for the best one. I do buy good beer. Jim and I are the judges.

I have been very vocal on this forum, and others, that the very fastest of the formula cars (Wings and Things) and the very slowest of the formula cars (Formula Vee) should not be forced to share the track in the same racing sessions. The difference in potential and speed is just too dangerous.These pleas fell on uncaring ears.
Yesterday, our #24 vee was destroyed by an ill advised move by a Wings and Things car.
We will not be making any hasty decisions, but if we choose to not...

Once again it is time for the annual Fire and Safety school....Each year we need to have cars to train with.. idealy we need a Big bore a small bore and open roofed (from either) and a couple of different open wheel cars...We would need you for the morning of March 22.. I can promise these cars are not damaged and have not been over the years....The whole purpose for this coarse is being able to get a driver out without cutting a car apart. If your are avalible to help please contact me at...

Dear Friends:

A fine endurance race. Drove from Longmont thru a rain squal. (The 912 is more a a GT than sports car; it has conveniences including wipers and even rear jump seat). Drove back home in nice weather (after the formula enduro). My good old street-legal Porsche raced flawlessly. (Improved from grid, 27 positions.)

One glitch. On the grid I found a loose clown nose

The 2005 scholarship went to Tim Oakley, an RMVR corner marshal. He subsequently bought a Caldwell FV2 and raced several races with the vee group this past season, including the enduro.
