Mark,
I may want to borrow that '72 GCR if you don't mind. My brother just bought a '72 Porsche 914 and is considering racing it.
It seems the RMVR will likely be going to the '81 GCR with exceptions. Personally I will be staying with the '72 spec but my brother
would like to know what his options might be under the '81 spec. I suspect he will investigate the FIA spec as well.
Would you happen to know anyone with the '81 GCR.

I am a little confused about the new rule changes. Maybe someone can inform me about the 2 different issues of exhibition cars and the new 1981 eligibility rules. Is it true that if I have a ineligible car such as a under weight tube frame, aluminum floor car like a 1967 Sprite or 1972 BMW 2002. Or maybe an exhibition Miata. I had heard a rumor while at the Conclave this past weekend that the RMVR board was considering allowing Replicas for entry.

Specifically I had been interested in a Westfield Lotus Eleven replica powered by the BMC 1275, and, much more so if were to be allowed to race in some class with the RMVR.

Any substance to this rumor?

I'm hoping someone can help...
In January, I became the owner of the Danny Collins' Pocket Rocket.

Unfortunately, I have no homologation certificate, logbook, or any paperwork.

Although this car mostly ran SCCA, I'm wondering if anyone here might have some information about it.

I got the car from Bruce Bacon, who bought it at the HPR auction from Chris Petrie in Wyoming. Both have been very helpful but...

Question for someone in Eligibility/Tech: Our rules concerning fire extinguishers say ":..3. The recommended fire control is an onboard fire system using Halon 1301 OR ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE..." As I'm building up my Tiger for racing I'm a little amused about preparation rules.

I can run a Ford 260 and stay in CP. I have permission to run a 289 and bump up to BP. I'm not allowed to run a 302 at all.

If I build a 289, I can run a custom built crank, H-beam connecting rods, CNC machined heads (as long as they are old Ford), billet stud girdle, custom pistons, etc. The technology for these components did not exist in '67.
